About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, engaging and suitably qualified Integration Aide to join our team. This is a part-time ongoing role (FTE = 0.8), commencing in Term 3
This position supports secondary students with additional needs—cognitive, social/emotional, sensory and/or physical—at our Canterbury campus. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary Learning Enhancement Team, the Integration Aide collaborates closely with Learning Enhancement Teachers and Classroom Teachers to provide targeted support in whole-class settings, small groups, and one-on-one. The role also includes assisting in the delivery of special provisions during timed assessments.
What we're looking for:
- Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in School Based Education Support or other appropriate education qualification
- Knowledge of child safety.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Capacity to maintain high level confidentiality in all dealings with staff and students .
- Time management, and coordination skills and able to meet deadlines and work flexibly.
- Demonstrable understanding of NCCD requirements.
- Demonstrable understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005.
